Welcome to Elder Quest

Welcome to Elder Quest

“No matter how long the path, you have to break it down into steps and take them one at a time.”

Nadya Tolokonnikova in the New York Times

Transition or transmutation happens with endings, the long middle, and new beginnings. Welcome to the Elder Quest path.

When I sold my business in 2017, I jumped into what I thought would be my new beginning. As a 30-year entrepreneur and small business owner, life was always full of TO DO’s and “get ‘er done” productive energy.

My sister, Laurie, and I celebrating my book launchI wrote a book, and, silly me, thought it would launch my new certified Life Coach career Re-Invention.  Yes, I had clients; I enjoyed seeing their transformation. However, soon I learned that to keep this new business growing and viable, it took a LOT of WORK. Work I did to build my successful consulting business. But, Alas, did I want to do it AGAIN?

Now, after seven years of wandering in the middle, researching, and studying to grapple with this retirement thing, I wrote an Elder Quest Course and delivered it with success. Now, I am launching this blog to let you in on the things that work and the things that don’t work on my Elder Quest.

This Blog will resonate with you each month IF…

  • you are still learning.
  • you are open to embracing new ideas, practices, and habits for a healthy mind, body, and Soul.
  • you left a busy, productive career that you may miss, especially the status and significance you worked for.
  • you are Young at heart and want your best life in this Third Chapter/Part Two.
  • you suffer no fools with silly, unsound advice about retirement.
  • you want your best years to be NOW!!
  • you want this life now to be an adventure, not settling into an easy chair (maybe sometimes )
  • you want to deepen, find, or reconnect with your own version of FAITH.
  • you want an authentic connection with peeps you enjoy and resonate with.
  • you are curious about exploring this new chapter with grace and compassion and are open to all that it brings: the Good, The Bad, and even the Ugly (dark spots, cranky knees, no hair, or no hair color)

Then this blog is for YOU.

“I’ve been so many place in my life and time
I’ve sung a lot of songs, I’ve made some bad rhymes
I’ve acted out my life in stages…
But we’re alone now; I’m singing this song for you”

Lyrics by Leon Russell, Willie Nelson & Ray Charles
