From Session One, uncovering societal and personal myths about Aging, through a trip down memory lane reviewing our Life Stages, Linda shared many tools to use on our Elder Quest journey. We let go of things that do not serve us now and uncovered the many Heroes’ Journeys we have each taken.

I found Linda’s Course at a precipitous time, months before I turned 80, and it is never too late to hear our new Soul’s calling.

Her materials are nothing short of gorgeous, her presentation utmost professional, and she herself most kind; so much that we all instantly bonded with her because of the ‘safe space’ she provided. Thank you, Linda, for everything!

Diane M Bucaro MSW, Life Coach, Eckhart Tolle Teacher of Presence

When I signed up for Linda’s Elder Quest, I had just moved to the area and was hoping to meet new people, and the subject matter intrigued me. What I gained from the series of classes far exceeded my expectations! The night after the first class, I had some vivid dreams that left me with a feeling of calm and positivity. Each subsequent class continued to open new possibilities and ways of thinking. Finally, in the next to last class, Linda suggested we write about a period of our lives in the form of the hero’s journey. The hero (yourself) faces a crisis, overcomes adversity, and comes out having learned important things about themselves. This exercise was very cathartic, though I initially thought it would be too hard. Coupled with all the helpful subjects we had gone over in previous classes, I feel grateful to have acquired a new way of looking at my life, both looking back and moving forward.

Charlotte Anthony,  Retired Librarian

I came to Elder Quest because retirement has challenged me as I tried to find my path. Kids are grown, and my family relationships and responsibilities are changing. I wanted to let go of the “old me” and move forward with a more positive, powerful relationship with myself. I learned that doing that without feeling guilt or shame is okay.

This exceptional course offered me an intimate, safe environment. I think this is my number one priority, at least to feel safe and comfortable when sharing about yourself with people you just met and being able to listen to them deeply. I enjoyed the small group sharing about the different events in our lives. I felt very present and loved hearing everyone’s stories.

I even liked committing to doing the homework every week. One of my favorite homework assignments was when I used the Elder Quest questions to interview my Elder. I interviewed my mom, who is 89. My mom enjoyed it, and I learned things about my mom I never knew. This was a very enlightening experience for her and me, and I think I will do it again with her and maybe some other family members.

Linda did a lot of work putting Elder Quest together! I could do what worked for me with the tools and resources she shared!  The course was a very effective learning process, and I thought I could trust the process and open myself up to new opportunities. Linda, you gave us so many ideas!

Another tool, the wellness check up was also an eye-opener for me. It has helped me know what areas I must focus on the most. I also use the journaling tool in my notes on my phone. It allows me to write down thoughts and feelings, a beneficial tool.

The course helped me in so many ways. I would say to someone to definitely take this course. It’s a unique course. I like that it is specifically geared toward elders to understand that their lives are still meaningful!

Thank you again for everything you offered in the Elders Quest journey course. I will be forever grateful for you and the pathway you provided.
